Phobias and Fears

Our logical brain knows many things, for instance it knows that flying is the safest form of travel, it knows that lifts are completely safe, and that spiders can't cause us any harm.

Yet knowing that doesn't really help, because if you feel your heart pounding and your stomach churning, then for you it's a very real fear, and it's probably holding you back from enjoying your life as you want.

Common phobias include fear of animals, fear of snakes, fear of spiders, fear of needles, fear of flying, and fear of heights. In the case of a severe phobia, you may have changed how you live your life and go to extreme lengths to avoid the thing you fear. Unfortunately, because of the way the brain works, avoidance only strengthens the phobia.

Phobias affect many people and have a massive impact on their lives, and are usually brought about by a specific stressful or traumatic event, extreme stress or can be learnt from a family member. An example of this would be seeing a parents reaction to a spider or mouse.

Hypnotherapy is incredibly quick and successful at removing phobias and fears that have held you back by reducing any associated anxiety and associations, and as such you can move on with your life and your future.
